2027 Submissions NOW OPEN!
It’s that time again! Submissions for 2027 at the Old Fitz Theatre are NOW OPEN.
That’s right. We cannot wait to piece together another year of exceptional theatre through our Mainstage & Late Night programs.
Firstly, lets define these three unique programs…
ABOUT MAINSTAGE: Mainstage productions typically run for 4 weeks (including production week). They champion artistic excellence and are home to the passion projects of our local arts leaders.
ABOUT LATE NIGHT: Re-activating the space after our Mainstage productions take their bows, these slots are perfect for teeth-cutting, bold innovation, out-of-the-box creative expression, and productions with minimal technical requirements. Late Night teams must be prepared to work with the design choices of the Mainstage team, run for 1-2 weeks, and are ideally 45-80 minutes in length. When it comes to Late Night, flexibility is the name of the game.

WHO? There is no limitation for who should apply, and we strongly encourage EOIs from practitioners who identify across underrepresented pockets, including our vibrant communities of gender, race, sexuality, and artists with disability.
WHAT? Live Performance, in all forms and definitions. The Old Fitz is a unique hub of daring and high quality productions. From the intimate to the epic, if you have a work you’re passionate about bringing to life, we want to hear from you.
HOW? Please submit your submission via THIS GOOGLE FORM. You’ll be asked to answer the following:
1) Production title & name of playwright/s or creator/s
2) Whether you’re interested in Mainstage and/or Late Night programming
3) About the work (max 300 words)
4) The work’s run time
5) Name of Production Company and/or Producer/s
6) Names of team members and if they’re confirmed/unconfirmed
7) Your availability for production in 2027
You’ll also be asked to upload the script (if applicable), an additional <2x pages containing bios for the involved creatives (optional), and proof of rights availability.
